The sacrifice everyone forgot.

In this project, I worked on a 3d environment and tried some tech art for the first time. I made the environment over a year ago and It was a struggle for me. The story behind the church:
A long time ago, in a quiet village, a girl was born. The girl, blessed by the gods, had the gift to cure all wounds. Her parents named her 'Lita'. Lita was adored by the villagers and seen as a saint. She would teach the villagers all about the god that watched over them. As Lita grew older, her powers and popularity grew as well. It didn't take long before people from all over the world came to meet her and witness Lita's powers for themselves. The village thrived because of all the tourists that came to see Lita. For a few years, Lita lived a happy life. The villagers even build her a church. Lita took good care of the church and would always help someone in need. Rumours of Lita's kindness spread across the country and soon reached the ears of the king. He was jealous of the attention Lita received and became angry when his subjects started calling her a goddess. The king came up with an evil plan and called Lita a witch. With the support of the existing church, rumours about Lita being a witch spread. Disdain for Lita started to grow and eventually led to a witch trial. With fabricated evidence, Lita was found guilty and burned at the stake.

After Lita's death, the heavens cried and continued to weep for six months. The continuing rain ruined the harvest of the farmers and made trading overseas hard. The only place that wasn't affected by the rain was the village where Lita's church stood. The villagers always believed in Lita's innocence and took good care of her church. They trusted that Lita watched over them as long as they took care of her church. The king was furious when he learned of this news and sent his knights to the village to ruin Lita's church. At the same time, all the villagers heard a voice in their head. It said: "You've taken good care of the church, but it is not the church that protects you. It is your belief. You have to leave the church and the village behind, for it is not safe. I will guide you to a better place, so please take your belongings and follow my sign." When the voice stopped talking, a ray of sunshine shone down on a place in the distance.

When the king's knights entered the village, all the villagers were gone. The knights were shocked but followed the orders the king gave them and wrecked the church. When the knights exited the church, the rain stopped. A sigh of relief came over the country, but this relief didn't last long. Not a single drop of rain fell for ten years. Researchers tried to find the promised land the villagers went off to, but none of them succeeded.

Several years later, you enter Lita's abandoned church.
